PART 4: Are You Serious? After All of That All It Took Was That!?

Dragon waited for a few seconds as she knew her death was coming…but nothing happened. She lifted her head from the ground and pried out the chunk of flesh from her eye. As her vision cleared she saw The King still standing there ready to finish her off…but his head was missing. Dragon quickly rolled away and stood ready, she was still in massive amounts of pain but she wasn’t about to give into it, she wasn’t sure what his game was but she wasn’t going to fall for it. She stood ready to fight for a few moments but when the man didn’t move she circled him.

“How did this happen?!” she heard a whine come from behind her as she circled the body. Dragon quickly turned around and looked around but saw nothing but the landscape.

“Down here…” she heard an annoyed voice from below her.

Dragon looked down and saw the skull of The King staring back at her with a very annoyed look on his face; he seemed to be able to contort his skeletal face into emotions.

Dragon looked closer at the skull.

“Take a picture, it will last longer!” The skull yelled making a strange face “._0”

Dragon yelled out while rearing upwards, the skull yelled out as well.

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!”

Dragon quickly took one of her front claws and quickly stomped on the skull multiple times in succession “DIE DIE DIE DIE!”

With every stomp the skull said “OW!” as his facial expression changed consecutively after every stomp.

Dragon stopped to see if the skull was flattened but no such luck.

“Are you done now!?” The skull yelled out “That freaking hurts…plus your claw smells like poo!”

Dragon picked up the skull with her claws and brought it to her eye level “How…how are you doing this!?”

The skulls eyes, now just black sockets, formed to show that he wasn’t amused “I’m immortal in every sense of the word…can’t die no matter what really. Technically I was already dead before we met but my human body was sustained through my magical power…until it burnt away…now I’m kind stuck like this forever.”

Dragon was still confused as she transformed back into her human form. She looked the skull over some more and then shook it rapidly in her arms.

“GAH!” The Skull said as she shook him up and down “I’m not a freaking bank! Gold isn’t going to fly out of me!”

Dragon held the skull at eye level again “Sooo…does this mean I win?”

The Skull looked away from her nervously trying to avoid eye contact “I…I don’t know what you are talking about!”

Dragon stared at the skull angrily and shook it again.

“GAAAAH! Okay! You win…put me back on my body and I’ll help you in any way I can.”

Dragon looked at the skull and then at the body ready to strike “Only if you promise to yield and not try to kill me.”

The skull angrily wobbled in her hands “YES OKAY FINE!”

Dragon placed the skull back onto the body as fire and shadow quickly formed up the neck bone and connected the skull firmly to the body. The Skull King was complete again and he lowered his hammer and morphed his impressive armor to baggy black clothes, he pulled a large black hood over his skull and leaned against his hammer while scratching his chin with his long black claws. “So” The King said looking at her “What do yah need me for exactly?”

Dragon, now remembering why she sought this man in the first place, told him all about her ship and was wondering if he could help.

The King shrugged “I’ve never heard of such a thing before but seeing as how I can pretty much bend reality to how I want it to be…I don’t see why not.”

Dragon took the man to the place where her ship crashed; The Skull King was merely able to raise the ship from the depths of the ocean..

However even though he wasn’t much help, Dragon had the fight of her life against this extremely powerful but peculiar immortal who is now one of her closest and dearest friends to this day.

Eventually Dragon got her ship fixed and The Skull King left the mortal realm of Gaia to make his own domain…but those are stories for another day.
